Playoffs, watched a player go down to block a shot. Came up limping, went back to block another. He didn't get off the ice until the puck was cleared to safety. The first shot block shattered his leg. His team won that game.

Just remember, hockey players are naturally crazy. They play with knives on their feet and spears in their hands. All the while on ice.

Unfortunately, hockey is becoming more like other sports today. More often than not, a hit like that would result in a penalty, and the slightest stick infraction will get called. Players also feel the need to overreact more for a chance of a PP. 80s-90s hockey was peak.
