Here is my take on what went down on August 22, 2026: Looks Like Police Protected Him First: In my opinion, the footage shows moments where Minneapolis police officers had to step in to keep a violent, hostile mob of counter-protesters from completely overtaking the situation. Radical Leftist Chaos: To me, it's clear who the real aggressors were. Leftists showed up in bizarre outfits, like a guy in a Spider-Man suit climbing on vehicles, screaming, throwing things, and spraying bear spray at patriots. Self-Defense Driving: The media claims they "charged" the crowd, but in my view, Lang's team was forced to drive onto the sidewalk just to escape a dangerous, unhinged ambush that surrounded their vehicles. Y'all, we need to talk about e-bikes, dirt bikes and off-road vehicles. A group of our PAR officers were working proactive patrol a few weeks back when they were alerted to a group of people on off-road dirt bikes, e-bikes and four wheelers traveling on East Colfax. Our officers found the riders and observed them doing wheelies, weaving in and out of traffic and quite literally ignoring any and all traffic laws. The group continued down Colfax, but officers lost sight of them due to their erratic driving. Our Real Time Information Center used city cameras to help track the riders. They were seen continuing to drive recklessly. The group eventually pulled into a gas station; unaware we were hot on their trail. When officers pulled in with their lights activated, the group ran. Five got away. One did not. 30-year-old Noel Loya Payan was arrested at the gas station without further incident. He is facing charges including careless driving, obstruction, prohibited use of an off-highway vehicle on a public roadway, weaving and failure to obey traffic signals. He also had a warrant out of Northglenn. This time it was adults treating our streets like their personal playground. But more often than not, it is juveniles. Teenagers riding vehicles they should not be operating and doing so recklessly on busy roads. It’s not just a nuisance to other drivers, it’s also illegal. Aurora city code already prohibits off highway vehicles like dirt bikes from being used on any public roads, trails, sidewalks or parks within city limits. Parents or guardians who knowingly allow minors to ride them in the city can face a minimum $250 fine. Whether you're 15 or 30, our streets are not a racetrack. Ride responsibly. On August 16, 2026, at 8:35 p.m., #teamHCSO responded to a 7-Eleven on Gordon Road in Riverview after an 11-year-old child crashed a vehicle into a concrete traffic barrier. Deputies learned that Carribean Myers, 41, allowed her 11-year-old child with autism, while under her supervision and as a passenger, to drive the vehicle from their residence to the gas station. Ingrid Stokes was in a convertible Sebring with three friends on the Las Vegas Strip on Sept. 7, 1996, when they witnessed the gunfire that killed rapper Tupac Shakur. Stokes testified as the second prosecution witness in Duane "Keefe D" Davis' murder trial on Monday (August 17). She said one of her friends knew Knight, and they were following him and Shakur to a club where Shakur was to perform when shots rang out. Stokes said she and her friend were switching seats at a traffic light when the gunfire erupted. "Me and Shalane were literally head down taking our seatbelts off when when we heard the gunshots. And that was when all hell broke loose," Stokes said. "And then what do you do when you hear the gunshots?" asked Binu Palal, a deputy district attorney in Clark County, Nevada. "I freak out and I scream, 'What the hell? Help!' I said, 'What the hell?' And then Shalane is kind of half up, half down, and so I grab her head to bring her down. And I was like, 'What the hell is going on?' And then she has her hand on the wheel, but she's like frozen," Stokes answered. "I don't remember how many gunshots there were, honestly. But I know I put the car in drive, and I told them, 'Get the hell out of there and drive.' And so I may of even grabbed the wheel. Like I said, I'm very aggressive, and from that, she tried to drive off," Stokes said. "And then, did you see the color of the vehicle?" Palal asked. "Yeah. So we almost hit the car when we were trying to drop off. There was a car in the the that last lane that was the turning lane, and it was a white four door. Ok, maybe this is me being nerdy but I found this seriously cool! We're on day 33 of our Xinjiang RV roadtrip and today we're going through one of China's most impressive recent engineering accomplishments: the longest highway tunnel in the world, almost 23km long, going underneath the TianShan mountains (called the "Tianshan Shengli Tunnel"). It opened in December last year. What's truly cool is that we managed to visit the tunnel command center, from which they monitor the traffic in the tunnel in real time. It's a FAR more sophisticated operation that I expected: look at this 👇, they monitor each individual car and truck in real time on a massive screen, and have advanced AI systems surface any issue the very second it arises. Without a doubt the single most high-tech tunnel monitoring system in the world. This tunnel is actually genuinely transformational for Xinjiang, probably the single most transformational infrastructure project in the region this millennia (so far): the big issue here is that you have the TianShan mountains, some of the highest mountains in the world (over 7000m high) that literally divide the region in 2 between North and South Xinjiang. Before the tunnel the only way people could travel between North and South (or vice versa) was through small perilous roads through the mountains, or by driving around the mountains - in either case a massive (and often dangerous) journey that would take many hours. The tunnel cuts it down to... just 20 minutes! The highway and tunnel cost an absolute fortune to build - some 40 billion yuan - and there's no way they're ever going to get it back from toll fees alone. But we asked the staff here and they said that when you consider the impact it'll have on Xinjiang's economy as a whole, it's not even close. And that's kind of the whole Chinese infrastructure philosophy in a nutshell: infrastructure is seen as a catalyst, you measure the return across the entire region for the next 50 years.

8 drives in with FSD v14.1.2 and here are my thoughts: First off, Mad Max mode is AMAZING in traffic. Drove down to Hawthorne on my first drive in rush hour and it cut through traffic so well. An hour drive without any human input was great. The other Speed Profiles seem like they make slightly more difference than before. Standard is perfect on city streets, hurry is a bit quicker and the lane changes are more assertive than v14.1.1. Mad Max is a bit quick at times on city streets with nobody around, as expected. The assertive lane changes are my second favorite change, after mad max. It doesn’t wait around a bit like v14.1 and v14.1.1, it commits and sends it if safe, love it. I have NOT really seen any brake stutter yet, seems gone so far. I saw one instance of slight steering wheel shaking but that’s it over the last few hours. Few things to note with Mad Max. It’s fast, but it’s very safe. It’s not going to cut people off- it makes great decisions and they’re clearly calculated. It is NOT like the Altima with a missing bumper you see flying through traffic, it’s very controlled and I love it. This is exactly what we needed for LA and it’s almost how I like to drive through traffic and how you have to drive through LA. Lane changes in each profile seem improved in this build too. Definitely noticeably better and more confident. With parking garages, I’m seeing good performance, but to note- 1 of 4 garage attempts so far it went further from the ticket booth than it used to. Feels like maybe .1 had better lot performance, but I’m going to a lot of driving tonight to make sure. It definitely obeys no right on red signs, I’ve seen it listen to every single one perfectly so far, even obscure signs. It moves over for lane splitting motorcycles well before I can see them- this increases safety for everyone especially the motorcyclists and they appreciate it. A couple of them have waved at me tonight alone to thank me. Moved over for the two construction zones I have encountered thus far, and slowed down. Standard seems like the Goldilocks profile when on city streets with no traffic to follow- doesn’t speed much and usually travels at the perfect speed. Mad max is fast when nobody around- but really good speed control when there’s cars on the road. When you enable FSD from park, I love how quickly it gets going. If it’s safe, it goes right away, feels like it’s always waiting and ready to go. Pretty awesome improvement over v13 and continually impresses me. Autosteer and TACC are back, will get some miles accumulated on autosteer for those wondering if it’s changed at all, but I don’t think it has much if it did. Here’s a 15 minute zero intervention drive just now from Santa Monica supercharger to Rodeo Drive, where it obeyed a one way sign to the little parking lot and went the next entrance in once it saw. I’m going to drive this more through the night, and then will take it out during rush hour a lot. Huge shoutout to Tesla AI teams for getting these releases out so quickly. They’re making magic happen. More to come, but I’m loving what I’m seeing!

As the year comes to a close, let’s take a moment and reflect on what the MAGA-held House of Representatives accomplished this term, shall we? It took them 15 votes to elect a Speaker, the most since before the Civil War, only to then make history by voting to remove him from his Speakership because he had the audacity to fund the government. They then went 21 days without any Speaker at all, which was the longest stretch since 1962. They held grudge censures, expelled one of their own, whittled their own majority down to essentially nothing, drove Kevin McCarthy into retirement, got into cat fights, threw kidney punches & called each other whores. With all the chaos, it’s actually a marvel they were even able to get a measly 27 bills signed into law, the least since the Great Depression btw. They accomplished nothing on inflation like they ran on, nothing on the border, fentanyl, gas prices or gas stoves for that matter. As the year comes to a close, let’s take a moment and reflect on what the MAGA-held House of Representatives accomplished this term, shall we? It took them 15 votes to elect a Speaker, the most since before the Civil War, only to then make history by voting to remove him from his Speakership because he had the audacity to fund the government. They then went 21 days without any Speaker at all, which was the longest stretch since 1962. They held grudge censures, expelled one of their own, whittled their own majority down to essentially nothing, drove Kevin McCarthy into retirement, got into cat fights, threw kidney punches & called each other whores. With all the chaos, it’s actually a marvel they were even able to get a measly 27 bills signed into law, the least since the Great Depression btw. They accomplished nothing on inflation like they ran on, nothing on the border, fentanyl, gas prices or gas stoves for that matter. I'm back in Italy for another holiday. Italy is always nice to visit. Except when you have to drive In Italy. Then it's a nightmare. If cars had been around in the Middle Ages, Dante Alighieri's Devine Comedy would have been talking about 10 circles of hell. The 10th one would have been driving in Italy. But it's not my concern. No rental car burden this time. This time I merely marvel at how natives do it. My personal opinion is that Italians don't drive. They flow through streets. Like a river. Made of magnets. Lots of chaos but polarity somehow always prevents the collision. Just in time. And here's a little "curiosità polacche": There is an above average, statistically significant number of vehicles on the Italian roads with the Polish licence plates. These aren't tourists from Poland. These are savvy Italians oppressing their extortionate insurance companies by (somehow!) getting a much cheaper insurance from Poland . Viva La EU I suppose 😅😅.

Nvidia goes up a trillion dollars in four months. Like the hot kids on the block are everything AI, everything chatbot, etc... There are meme stocks that go from zero to $7 a share on a tweet. Crypto - there's worthless coins with $20+ billion dollar market caps. There's a coin called Useless. It's [literally] useless. It debuted in March 2025 and it went to a $700 million value. And the coin says "we are completely useless" In real estate people get rich but it's boring. You get rich holding on to it over long periods of time. It's not a day trading asset. The country right now is very impatient. So people want to play the hot thing. Real estate looks sort of sad in your portfolio right now. The only thing it beats is treasuries. And even then, it's not even beaten that. But you'll do well picking properties in the right cities... Everything is micro in real estate. For example, I built a building in South Beach. The first lease was $54. It's on the beach, and nobody built a new office building in 20+ years. We leased it up in the pandemic. It's 100% leased. A tenant actually needs to grow, and they called us last week. They're paying $125 and we'll re-lease it at $175. I mean, you can still make a lot of money if you get the micro market right."
