Crazy smart. Most people wont notice and u get to save a few million dollars reusing assets.

The fact that people are defending this is absolutely insane lol this is the problem with movies nowadays. You have good observation skills lol I can do this type of stuff with music samples but very rarely movies unless it's a Easter egg.

This is not new. Video games do the same shit. Most maps are the same. Just different overlay

There are other videos showing Disney doing the same thing except with animations. Like they used an old animation and redrew a different character over it then used a different background.

You didn’t stumble on anything special. Michael bat reused a ton of movie scenes especially on transformers to save on the extremely expensive budget. That’s also why so many as placements were in transformers. Fast n furious also has done this. Especially using cars as ads.

they keep using the same gary oldman too

$195m. Maybe he was told he couldn't spend any more.

Well the funny thing here is that Michael bay made both of these movies so maybe he through it in as an island throwback

They’re both Michael Bay movies he recycled footage because of an accident on set that left an extra paralyzed

Hollywood recycling scenes is not new news

This was a directors choice due to an accident that happened while trying to film that scene that left an extra paralyzed. The footage recycled was from one his own movies.

Star Trek has entered the chat.

Omg because of your disappointment I’ll unwatch transformer

Bro this level of info retention is crazy. Unless you watched both movies in the space of a short period.

Classic bit

at least they changed it up enough so that it’s not noticeable, therefore it doesn’t bother me. this saves money and time, so this is actually smart

The use the same Independence Day from 1996 in a lot of flight movies

You are 15 years late to this discourse. Did you just learn that bin Laden died too?

That’s a wild catch “We spent millions of dollars” 🤣

Michael Bay's production team themselves confirmed that they had used 2 scenes from The Island in Transformers 3, when the latter originally came out, so this is nothing new.

This guy needs to b running a 1tera processor to able to identify a cutaway that easy. Guy has to be working a surveillance at de pentagon 🤣🤣🤣

Sloppy work! Give it a few days, and someone will steal this content too.

As expensive as that shot was I'd repurpose it too lol

look at vroom vroom crash boom smash me happy goy

Old walt disney movies have the same animations reused.

old news bud. there's a reason why. the stunt was dangerous and someone got hurt and instead of risking someone else. he made a new scene out of the old stunt. but yeah, let's risk unnecessary death for fucking movies. I think we can all behind that, fuck those stunt guys, right?

why's his TV spanish and he's speaking english?? 💀💀

So they're supposed to spend thousands of dollars and a whole day shooting a new scene, for a couple of seconds of traffic footage?

The Island was a damn good movie

American movies nowadays: shooting, car chase, extended unrealistic fight, more shootings, more car chases, explosions, bla bla bla... end.

Lmao dudes talkin had me gigglin the whole time

During the chase scene in Dark of the Moon an extra driving one of the cars was injured by some debris. They couldn't use a shot where a person had been so badly injured so they reused a shot from the Island. Extra got a big payday out of it from what I understand.

Filming a widescreen TV in portrait is by far the worst thing going on here.
