Here is a book you must read: Demian by Hermann Hesse. It’s only 150 pages, yet of the most profound books I’ve ever read. I first read it at 22. I liked it but didn’t fully understand it. I read it again at 50 and it hit like a freight train. Written just after World War I, it’s about the terrifying necessity of becoming who you actually are. The protagonist Emil Sinclair grows up in a safe, bright, comfortable family, but there’s a darker world outside that keeps pulling at him. If you want one philosophical book, read Meditations. Marcus Aurelius was a great General writing in his private diary and he never expected anyone to read it. It’s a treatise on accepting change, accepting your mortality, accepting that in this moment you could die. When you sit with that honestly, a lot of the fear and anxiety just releases. Lao Tzu put it simply: Think too much about the past and you get depression, think too much about the future and you get anxiety. The only place to live is in the moment. I don’t wake up and kick myself over the White House. I forgave myself for that a long time ago. You have to let it go. Not because it didn’t matter, but because carrying it doesn’t change anything. The present is where you find your home. That’s where everything actually is.

Last night felt like a full circle moment for me. Standing this close to Kojo Antwi was surreal. Calm, gracious, larger than life, he signed my copy of his book and all I could think of was ‘what a man!’ His voice raised generations and carried love, pain, hope and Africa across time. Kojo Antwi - The Icon…The Force…The Legend. My legend. I love him to bits. And yes, this book is a treasure for life. If you want to read it, go and get your own. I don’t share my books.

Last new year’s I was with my family and my best friends celebrating in one of the oldest and most beautiful hotels in Gaza- Al Mathaf. The place was destroyed, and some of the people are gone forever. I pray that this year we see light, that this year we see justice, that this year we see peace. I hope I can hug my mother soon, be back with the rest of my family and friends in Gaza… I hope that this nightmare ends and I really hope that I’ll still find some strength within me to keep going. May everyone of you have a happy, and blessed year… May Palestine be free very soon!

🐰the members? i’ve been constantly talking to the members 🐰 we were talking on the group chat right before this live too 🐰 taehyun asked how italy was so i said it was really pretty, that the food is delicious and that the people are really well-mannered 🐰 italians seem to have really good manners 🐰 also, i read the letters that i received from italian moas…in the letter, they were like “i don’t know if you’ll read this but…” ah can you hear my voice being hoarse? you can hear the hoarseness…anyway, they were like “i don’t know if you’ll read this but there are a lot of moas in italy too so i’ve been waiting, thank you for coming to milan” there were a lot of letters that said this 🐰 since we’ve actually never come to italy for a performance, it was an opportunity for me to find out that there are a lot of moas in italy too

I want to read all of these roles, Leo's role, Sam's role, all of them. Because I don't care if I get this job, that's irrelevant to me. The only thing I care about is having the opportunity to say Quentin Tarantino's words in front of Quentin Tarantino. He said, 'Are you serious?' I said, 'Yeah.' He said, 'Yeah, let's fucking do it.' He sat there with me in that room for another 45 minutes, maybe an hour, and we just read through his script. I read Sam's role, and he read every other role as if he was filming it.
