I managed a Help Desk and User Support for an early Social Media platform called Interspace back in the mid-90s. I learned right away that the people using the platform were not the personas they presented online. I have never been able to do online dating. You can never know who is on the other end, but you can be sure they arent who they are projecting.

I've got very little experience on dating apps I tried about five years ago and within the first week I gave up because as you've just experienced very similar experiences to what I have had. Also discovered some women actually get paid to be on dating sites.
