Holy shit this is so cool. I recommend everyone watching this tutorial to learn how to take advantage of Bolt to the fullest. Here's an excerpt from the tutorial that's mind blowing. Basically cloning an entire web app instantly.

bolt local 1-click launcher

There are SO many websites where they provide just a simple feature, but they're filled with virus downloads and scammy ads just to use the websites. Imagine being able to just whip up your own clone on the fly. No need for malware infested web apps.

It is cool, sadly local LLMs aren't good at that, just like the issues with OpenUI, or AutoGEN 2.0 we have Wonder how good bolt is compared to the OpenSource Cursor alternatives like Void, PearAI or even Cline

Is bolt free to use?

The app itself is open source and runs locally so it's free. But the LLMs (at the moment) you have to use LLM APIs, which may cost API credits. Ollama support is supposed to work but currently broken, but probably (hopefully) coming soon.

I saw this on pinokio, but don’t understand why it would be better to use bolt locally?
