OK…the kid wasn’t really in danger, but he was probably freaked out. Why can’t people just praise someone for doing something good without making it seem extraordinary or downplaying it. It was a good deed. The kid (and his family) is probably thankful

For the people saying "no big deal", that child probably couldn't breath, or at least shouldn't breath the dirt, dust and lime from the baselines. Good job by the Ump!

I guess my question is... as opposed to what? What SHOULD the umpire have done if not this? Why do news stations and social media love to jump on normal people doing normal things, but ignore those who truly do save lives and make the world a better place?!?!?!

Not only did he help that young boy, but he also helped keep the good Ju Ju in our life. When you see good Ju Ju it makes you feel good inside. Most people are still good.
