You have to let it macerate for at least 4 weeks before using it. I can confirm the onion in the shampoo dissolves with time, and it doesn't smell like onions. I used Suave clarifying shampoo. After 2 months I started seeing baby hairs grow.

You would be so much better off making your own rather than adding to store brand

The base is most likely castille soap

Lost me at onion. I can’t imagine how that will end up smelling
