Don't misquote Hindu scriptures. Homosexuality existed but were not promoted and encouraged, instead they were insulted and socially boycotted. Ex: Shikhandi was consistently insulted for being gay. Arjuna was insulted for his womanly behavior during Agyat Vyas.
