The exercise is witnessing the participation of fighter jets and combat support elements from Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, France, Italy, Greece, Qatar, Bahrain, Jordan, the United Kingdom and the United States of America. It offers a robust platform to enhance interoperability, operational synergy, mutual understanding and capacity building among participating Air Forces, particularly in large force employment, night composite air operations, integrated ISR, and operations in advanced electronic warfare environments. Through participation in this multinational forum, Pakistan Air Force seeks to enhance interoperability with partner Air Forces, and validate its operational preparedness in a contested, technology-driven battlespace. For this international deployment, PAF fighter aircraft undertook a non-stop flight from their home base in Pakistan to Saudi Arabia, demonstrating the long-range operational reach and expeditionary capabilities of Pakistan Air Force. The advance of two armies and a tank division of the Russian armed forces was repelled: forces of the First Corps Azov of the National Guard of Ukraine destroyed dozens of units of equipment and a large number of occupier personnel. On July 22, the occupiers, using forces of the 8th and 41st Armies along with the 90th Tank Division, attempted an assault in the sector held by the First Corps Azov of the National Guard of Ukraine, involving dozens of units of armored and light vehicles. The 41st Guards Combined Arms Army and the 90th Guards Vitebsk-Novgorod Tank Division of the Russian armed forces advanced from the area of the settlement of Novoekonomichne, while forces of the 8th Guards Combined Arms Army simultaneously advanced from the area of the village of Vozdvyzhenka. For four hours, they attempted to enter settlements in the area of the village of Shakhove. The enemy attempted to deny the sky to Ukrainian forces using "Gerbera" and "Lancet" strike drones. A modern Russian "Tornado-S" MLRS, which was being used to support the assault, was also destroyed. Forces of the First Corps Azov of the National Guard of Ukraine, together with attached units, blocked the path of the advancing mechanized columns. Mine-explosive obstacles were laid on the approaches to the positions of the Ukrainian Defense Forces, and bridges were damaged by tactical aviation. During the assault, the Russians attempted to restore the crossings using pontoons, but these were destroyed by tactical aviation of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). Just made this point to Admiral Hagari in IDF HQ and I think it’s a good one so I’ll share it. Even though I have combat experience myself, have degrees in Law, War Studies and Psychology, on first seeing the destruction in Rafah my nanosecond first reaction was: “Fucking hell.” I *know* why the damage occurred. If you’re destroying Hamas’ capability and infrastructure root and branch, the fact that their infrastructure is in every school, hospital, mosque and house means that those things are all going to be damaged. If every home contains a booby trap, every home is going to be explosively damaged. No army in the world has sufficient engineers to diffuse every bomb like that in a kinetic clearance operation. The IDF don’t want to damage people’s homes, but they’re taking the only tactical option they have to achieve operational goals. This does mean two things, though. If I, with my experience and knowledge, am having that reaction, so will the world when they see it. And for the wider world, without the knowledge to rationalise and understand what they’re seeing, that reaction will be enduring. So the first requirement is for the IDF to explain to world leaders and opinion leaders, simply, what has happened and why. The second thing is the priority that must be given to reconstruction. Palestinian Arabs cannot stay in tents indefinitely. The wider world needs to step up as they did in Germany in 1945 to create a society that is enduring and can live at peace alongside Israel. It’s going to require billions of currency and huge efforts. Get this right, and Gaza could be a Mediterranean paradise.

If you’re destroying Hamas’ capability and infrastructure root and branch, the fact that their infrastructure is in every school, hospital, mosque and house means that those things are all going to be damaged. If every home contains a booby trap, every home is going to be explosively damaged. No army in the world has sufficient engineers to diffuse every bomb like that in a kinetic clearance operation. The IDF don’t want to damage people’s homes, but they’re taking the only tactical option they have to achieve operational goals. This does mean two things, though. If I, with my experience and knowledge, am having that reaction, so will the world when they see it. And for the wider world, without the knowledge to rationalise and understand what they’re seeing, that reaction will be enduring. So the first requirement is for the IDF to explain to world leaders and opinion leaders, simply, what has happened and why. The second thing is the priority that must be given to reconstruction. Palestinian Arabs cannot stay in tents indefinitely. The wider world needs to step up as they did in Germany in 1945 to create a society that is enduring and can live at peace alongside Israel. It’s going to require billions of currency and huge efforts. Get this right, and Gaza could be a Mediterranean paradise.

First Corps Azov of the National Guard of Ukraine. The First Year. The First Battle. Dobropillia Sector. On March 7, 2025, the First Corps Azov of the National Guard of Ukraine was formed, with the Azov Brigade as its core. Four additional brigades became part of the corps: Burevii, Chervona Kalyna, Kara Dag, and Lubart. The corps was commanded by Hero of Ukraine, Colonel Denys "Redis" Prokopenko. In August, the corps was assigned a zone of responsibility in the Pokrovsk sector, where key events of the Battle for Donbas unfolded. Corps units, together with attached and subordinate forces, were tasked with halting and eliminating the enemy, who had broken through the defensive formations of Ukraine’s Defense Forces toward the settlement of Dobropillia. The corps command ensured effective coordination among units of the National Guard of Ukraine, the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Air Assault and Assault Troops, the Unmanned Systems Forces, and other components of the Defense Forces. This coordinated effort made it possible to stabilize the situation in the sector. In the autumn, the General Staff calculated that during the counteroffensive operation, approximately 175 square kilometers of territory were liberated. In addition, nearly 195 square kilometers were cleared of enemy sabotage groups. Starting on August 4, when command and control of Defense Forces units in the Dobropillia sector was transferred to the First Corps Azov of the National Guard of Ukraine, and up to the present day, the enemy has suffered significant losses. As of December 29, 2025, they amount to: • irrecoverable losses — 12,492 occupiers; • wounded — 8,346; • captured — 185 servicemen of the Russian armed forces. Over five months of the counteroffensive operation, a large amount of enemy equipment was destroyed or damaged: • 93 tanks; • 259 armored combat vehicles; • 314 artillery systems; • 1,821 units of light and heavy automotive equipment and motorcycles, including: – light vehicles — 618; – heavy vehicles — 33; – special-purpose vehicles — 43; – motorcycles and buggies — 1,127; • 3,579 UAVs of various types. The first major operation of the First Corps Azov of the National Guard of Ukraine served as practical confirmation that, under conditions of clear planning, unified command, and coordinated action by its units, the corps is capable of effectively countering the enemy, disrupting their operational and strategic plans, while preserving the lives of Defense Forces personnel. The year 2025 became a year of trials for the First Corps Azov of the National Guard of Ukraine and, at the same time, a test of the effectiveness of the army corps system created to enhance planning and employment of forces.
