People are SICK! These NYU students were recorded outside of Tisch Hall on NYU's campus ripping down dozens of posters, which were hung in order to identify Jewish babies, mothers, grandmothers, etc, who have been kidnapped and are still missing in the Middle East. They then almost gleefully stuffed the posters into a garbage can nearby. What makes people do something like this? Missing people are missing people, regardless of their religion or political beliefs. These people have families who are currently devastated and clinging onto hope. New York University Please Hold these cowards accountable.

The pro-Hamas agitators, who were proudly distributing pro-Hamas propaganda in defense of October 7th, not only orchestrated a hostile takeover of Barnard College but also subsequently kept the administrators from evacuating the building in the midst of a bomb threat. Barnard College should expel every single one of these students for endangering the safety of the campus.

Surveying 58K+ students from 257 institutions, the results find that free speech has been threatened in historic ways since the Israel-Hamas war began. Expand to learn more ⬇️ 🟡 UVA was ranked as this year’s best school for free speech! Michigan Technological University, Florida State University, Eastern Kentucky University, and Georgia Tech round out the top five. 🔴 Harvard University is ranked as the worst school for free speech for the second year in a row. Columbia University and New York University round out the bottom three — each earning an “abysmal” rating. 🔴 Campus deplatforming attempts spiked by 400% since Hamas’ October 7th attack on Israel. 🔴 7 out of 10 students are uncomfortable publicly disagreeing with a professor about a controversial political topic. 🔴 54% of students report it’s difficult to talk about the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. On 17 campuses where this issue was especially contentious, 75% or more marked the Israeli-Palestinian conflict as difficult to discuss. 🔴 1 in 4 students said it was unclear whether their college administration protects free speech. 🔴 1/3 of students approve of the use of violence at least “rarely” to stop campus speakers. 🔴 7 out of 10 students say it's at least “rarely okay” to shout down a speaker. OAU transport system was near perfect, adequate buses and bikes, we rarely experienced queues until the First Lady came and decided she didn’t like the ease of transportation and introduced “change” by donating CNG buses. The school management in turn banned all motorcycles and commercial buses on campus and subjected over 30,000 students to just about 50 buses and a few tricycles. OAU has one of the largest land masses of any Nigerian university, yet students are now stranded daily. This is a Monday morning where students are supposed to rush for class, but they are stuck at the campus gate because of the inefficiency of the CNG buses. Students are struggling to go to class in the morning and in the evenings to even get back to their hostels. Students staying off campus now spend almost double to get to campus, all alternative transport means have been removed The management have cars to bypass all of this, but majority of students do not. Yet they released statements talking about how the buses will “ease transportation” and even implied students appreciate the system. Meanwhile, students are trekking, missing classes, and spending hours in queues. Let it be clear that students do not appreciate this system. It has made our lives harder, not better. What used to be a smooth system has now become a daily struggle. There are many pressing issues in this school, but they chose to dismantle a working transport system and replace it with hardship. We can no longer remain silent. Let the whole world know what OAU students are going through. A pro Idf event “From Combat to Campus: Soldiers’ Tour,” was hosted by the SSI chapter at Toronto Metropolitan University (TMU). After TMU denied request for campus space for the third time, the event was relocated to a private business near campus. Approximately 30 minutes before the start time, members of Students for Justice in Palestine (SJP) stormed the private venue, breaking doors and physically attacking our guest speakers—Israeli reserve soldiers—leaving several injured and bleeding. What happened today in Toronto is a clear act of politically motivated violence. Jewish and Zionist students are under threat, and denying that reality endangers them further. Despite the attack, the tour will continue.
