comments immediately full of bots out playing defense for pedophiles who use loans and financial horseshit to be infinitely wealthy while producing nothing.

What an incredibly shallow and simplistic model. Ignores the fact that the big 'pile of chips' represents asset wealth that includes large-scale businesses that employ thousands or more and contribute to the economy on an ongoing basis. This is slop for low-information voters, nothing but propaganda. Maybe give the public a little credit and try a more nuanced, honest approach instead of relying on pure emotion in the future?

You ignore the other side of the ledger - how low ability, poor choices, or simply refusing to work drag down median incomes for certain demographics. Averages get pulled from both ends - pretending only one end matters is the real tell. This kind of socialist thinking is toxic for a society. It breeds resentment, erodes personal responsibility and incentives to improve, and ultimately makes everyone poorer by punishing success while excusing failure.

This is being mad that rich people are more successful and have put in the work to get there. Stop blaming others for being poor and do the actions that give you raw results to become successful instead of whining about it. NZ is such an embarrassing country to live in now.

What a childish and simplistic exercise. It doesn't account for talent, work ethic, drive, grit, good luck/bad luck. Its just appealing to the lowest common denominator, but that's the lefts playbook.

This sort of narrative drives me nuts. Billionaire by definition have chased a mission, a dream, a plan, a scheme. Jobs spin off that mission as an automatic result They don’t “horde money” in bank accounts If they do that money is then available for others to borrow and build They buy super yachts that require designers and makers and staff to run and clean But mostly they build things and services that we want and buy and use, that’s why they are billionaires. It’s nearly impossible to “horde money” away where it doesn’t circulate The left leaning people that hate billionaires are the problem. Envy

So the chips represent the money in the country and the Greens represent the self-important bureaucracy that values someone else's work so little that they had them cook perfectly good chips so the bureaucracy can get in the way, let them go cold and then chuck them away, while congratulating themselves on how hard they worked.

Wealthy people in NZ pay a fuck ton in tax, are they not allowed to be successful? Don't drive millionaires and billionaires away, they help our economy. Can't believe I'm defending capitalism but also hell no to socialism. The drive to strive and achieve greatness is life.

The toxic mentality of the "self-made man" myth in the Anglo-Saxon world is so persistent that it’s necessary to create educational material for children to address it.

I don’t know if people are stupid enough to believe this or know it’s false, but lie about it Wealth isn’t a fixed pile of chips. It can be created, not merely redistributed.

Socialist retardation - assumption that people with wealth sit on their asses and enjoy the freedom. People with wealth are driving economic, societal outcomes, creating employment, prosperity, driving wealth creation in others not hoarding it. Oversimplification..

Visceral and shareable—great activism. Economically hollow: treats wealth as a fixed pile of fries instead of productive capital that grows and employs. Implies pure hoarding while skipping creation, risk, incentives, and growth. Emotion > mechanism.

Why's it an issue? I'm one of those who has the two chips shown, I know folk who'd have the stock on the table x10. They're welcome to it. Doesn't faze or anger me in the slightest. They did not get wealthy by receiving handouts, hand-ups maybe, but mostly hard work. 'tis theirs
