Hot take: Marathon is still a visually appealing game

It’s funny to me everyone is afraid to say something nice about this game just because the popular opinion was to hate it.

I really hate the artstyle, it’s like if Apex Legends and The Finals had an ugly baby.

No joke I don't understand how people are calling it concord. The game looks amazing and the characters are visually appealing. Gameplay wise it's great too the PvE is actually really challenging unlike arc raiders

At least it is trying something different and doesn't look generic like that Highguard game or all the other interchangeable stuff coming out (diminished by the fact that an artist got caught blatantly stealing). Its potential is ofc wasted on yet another hero shooter nobody asked for.

It’s not even a hot take, it’s just factual. What makes it a hot take is the doom and gloomers who want the game to fail come in droves to put it down when it’s not even out yet and they most likely didn’t even play test it

This game has such an unbelievable amounts of aura in every piece of its aesthetic that singlehandedly made me interested im a genre I didn't care at all. I tried (and enjoyed) ARC Riders so much just bc I was chasing the high of the closed Marathon test.

Well they stole the art style so.....

It's genuinely one of the least aesthetically pleasing visual styles I've seen recently. It's hard on the eyes and looks like a funko-pop collection.
