I use mine as an office , 44mm thick logs , 150mm insulation on roof and floor. Heats fine, takes a bit longer when it’s freezing out. Retains heat well. In UK

@ScottAdamsSays Looks very cool (my DIY instincts love it) but insulation, wiring, and plumbing are another issue. They SAY it’s warming winter and cool in summer, but I just looked up the R-value of wood and that has an R-value of 3 at best. (Softwood— looks like pine— 2-2.5 inches thick.) 🤔

"cheaper than a month's rent" is bullshit, unless you're renting a top floor in Dubai I have been doing woodworking for 20+ years. Even the cheap pine in the flick, would cost tens of thousands of dollars as rough lumber. Dimensioned and sanded, it would be at least double that

Specs are off. There needs to be more material in the corners and there can’t be a window that close. There could be potential collapse if there were to be a heavy snowfall. Specs are different for log builds compared to regular houses.

You’d have to be REALLY rural to not run into permitting issues, even if you can handle electricity and plumbing yourself. But I would absolutely use this for a workshop shed or big playhouse. Hmm…
