House Republicans got it done tonight. This vote was a key step in the process to deliver President Trump’s full America First agenda. I’m grateful to my colleagues, especially Rep. Jodey Arrington and Rep. Jason Smith. Tomorrow, we roll up our sleeves and get right back at it.

@RepArrington @RepJasonSmith We know what you did, Liar Johnson. This bill increases the deficit by over $300B! You may be able to catch headlines with no taxes on tips, but you just hosed the American people & lied about it.

This bill was CRAP. Stop acting like you have to compromise with Democrats. This bill increases the deficit by over $300B instead of eliminating the deficit. This is literally the opposite of DOGE’s goals, so why even have DOGE? It temporarily extends the Trump tax cuts only to the end of 2025 when you could have done much more, including abolishing the IRS and Income Tax.

Oh, Mike, “got it done”? Yeah, you sure did, got it done handing billionaires the keys to the Treasury. This “America First agenda”? It’s more like America Last for working families. You’re slashing programs people rely on, Medicare, Social Security, school lunches, just to fund $4.5 trillion in tax cuts for the ultra-wealthy. And you call that “rolling up your sleeves”? Looks more like picking our pockets. Here’s the truth: This isn’t about helping everyday Americans. It’s about making sure the top 1% get richer while the rest of us fight over the crumbs. Wake up, folks, this isn’t leadership, it’s a stick-up and he knows it.

A MAJOR part of the agenda is to decrease the deficit. How does increased spending decrease the deficit? What is the point of the DOGE dog and pony show cutting fraudulent, wasteful, and abusive spending to ASSIST in tackling the deficit IF spending doesn’t also decrease? This shouldn’t be a partisan issue. The deficit is crippling and we need progress on it. The future of our country and our children’s future depends on tackling the deficit. Who currently holds a majority of our debt? This is the same issue I brought up when Biden was POTUS and prior to the decision being made to assist Ukraine. We can’t afford it and unfortunately, the adversaries used to defend defense spending are the same who OWN OUR DEFICIT!!! Our enemies literally own our asses and y’all keep putting our country further at risk.
