How a bride wept profusely because her arrangements weren’t going as planned, her parents told her not to wear makeup at her wedding.

This is why you should start your rebellion early.

With or without make up, she's still beautiful. Nawa ooh, WEDDING DAY wey pikin suppose use make her self jolly, family is still putting preferential Pressure. Na why some children go marry no look back. Understanding pikins dey try shaa.

But how are the parents okay with seeing their daughter cry on HER own wedding day?

I hate when they stress the bride sha. It defeats the purpose of her whole day.

I have a friend at Ibadan too whose parents and pastor said she should go and clean her face before they join them. She cleaned it and after they joined them she said THANK GOD I'm free from bondage. She is now attending her husband's church where makeup is allowed

I fit bet my life say na lie. I no dey trust these people again. Why will your parents tell you to not wear makeup on your wedding day??????

What I observed whenever I did bridal trains is that many things don't go as planned. But one should calm down and just try to enjoy the day. But as for make up, I'm of the opinion the bride has the right to decide what she wants. And why did it have to be that night they'll stop her? I sha hope she gets the best gift out of this - a blissful home.

Thank God have been the Black sheep of the family since day one...so something like this can never happen to me. Cos I can't imagine going through something like this on a Day that's supposed to be my happiest day

It's her big day and comes just once except for vow renewals and every couple should be given the day. Anything else will make them demoralized. The non use of makeup should have been communicated with her earlier and not on the eve/day of event. It's unfair
