….and this is exactly why VC’s would rather vote in the Investment Committee to spool up a few engineers in a fancy office with a few desks - and are salivating over AI coding. Making products made of atoms and not bits is harder. But, boy oh boy, is it way more satisfying to create factories to produce hard goods to defend our way of life. We gotta do it.

That’s a crazy foundation requirement for a bridge mill! And here I am wincing every time I have to put a new foundation in cause our typical 6” floor won’t cover it

Shop I was at dug 8’ down for a Makino Mag 1 they bought. Some places also have the floor at a level where the table is at floor level to make loading and unloading parts easier.
