A nice introductory video, conceptually good but very far from reality. In particular, this is a representation of a particular accelerator chain, the one for a specific collider, the LHC at CERN. Other accelerators work differently, like synchrotron radiation light sources.

Thia is a 70 Mev electron synchrotron , a type of particle accelerator used for radiation therapy . This type of synchrotron was created by Dr. Robert stone and use to treat cancer patients with radiation from 1956 to 1964.

The little battery shown as adding energy is typically a high power microwave amplifier, a klystron. Here is the klystron gallery for LINAC4 used to inject particles into CERN Large Hadron Collider complex. Each klystron is an accelerator.

Billions upon billions spent on an end result of humans guessing at what things are and mistaking acceleration paths for decay rates.. They claim to have found the Higgs boson!! Amazing, they found something that doesn’t exist in the universe!! 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

Well done except for that ridiculous sound track.

Humans in 2012, Built a 27-km machine to smash particles together at near light speed Also humans: still can't remember why they walked into the kitchen.😂😂

I've worked on a few of these at the high voltage end of generation the simplist way to look at it is that we smash tiny particales with a very fast tiny hammer and see what the pieces are. Also this is a sped up verison of Interworld's Metamorphosis an equally important development in human advancement.

Absolutely brilliant explanation. It’s wild to see the scale and precision involved in something like this—definitely worth the watch!
