at what point do you merge your layers ? or like . when do you decide the sketch is done and it’s time to render?

When you render ( on the final part of the video) do you merge all your layers together? Or you make a copy of the canvas to then render that? Or maybe all in separate layers...

This is such an amazing speed paint, thank you so much for sharing! I’ve watched it a few times and it seems like you keep lineart and shading layers separated until the end despite a painterly style. Is that correct? I’d like to reference it for a similar style I’m going for 🙂
