Me watching this video. “I built what? Ok..”

It feels like a proper, informed citizen should be capable of understanding the technology they're looking at when they drive by (or over) the nation's bridges, like on a car trip or whatever. (Infrastructure literacy now!)

This looks perfect! Ancient engineers were the best when it came to construction. 🫡

4 years ago they put coffer dams in the Elm Fork of the Trinity to allow a sanitary sewer pipeline to be built under the river bed. Fascinating to watch.

Handy information to have for a time traveler 😁

me the duck

How did they pump the water out?

How'd they get the wooden pilings out there in the middle of a big river? Do they start dumping dirt and make a land bridge first? And what contraption do they build to get the wooden pilings driven down into the riverbed?

Why that disgusting music?

This is educating ❤️

wasn't this technology discovered and perfected in africa?

How did they pump the water out at that time in history

and at some point they discovered caisson's disease

FAKE

The music is unbearable

I just learnt enough to be awarded a 3 year engineering course in 3 mins! ♥️🤣

Is this true? @grok

Cofferdam. Just ask a civil engineer..

Need to bring back this quality architecture here in the west

River Niger in Nigeria 8s definitely deeper than this Please kindly make a video on that

El ingenio humano es increíble. En la ingeniería, arquitectura, y en todo él activar humano. Te saludo.

Ancients were the real innovators.

how many Chinese bridges have collapsed recently again 🤔

@grok youtube source link please?

I’ve done it again

I'm so smart. No need to thank me

I'm such a fucking genius

With copper tools? Lol

They did all this in a 40 hour work week!

Just build the pillars first and then add the water around it.

@Engineering67 🇨🇳

I’d like to revisit how the first cover protects against wind?
