How are disabled people the ones ostracized when these people exist???

religious ppl will hate everybody except for actual predators, abusers, and pedophiles 🙃🙃🙃 nd I still don't understand how ppl hate on nd mistreat disabled ppl when they themselves are not invincible nd disability can happen to them at any point..

My brother is blind and a girl in my youth group once said, full chest to my face, that clearly we weren't praying hard enough or didn't love Jesus enough because he hadn't been cured yet. I know exactly why you don't see a lot of disabled people in church.

Oh yes they go on missions trips to find impoverished disabled people and prayer warrior their disabilities away and some even claim to have done so. I kid you not missions leaders have claimed to “cure” someone’s blindness with prayer and laying hands on them.

1 time I had an endometriosis flare up where I was in so much excruciating pain back home in Somalia & my family thought I was possessed & held me down to read scripture on me cos I was shaking from the intensity of my agony. They said I had an evil spirit 😭still mad about it

Even in my supposedly "Welcoming Congregation" rated Unitarian Universalist Fellowship, they refuse to #RequireRespirators so I & others can fully participate.

Not to mention, the churches are never accessible

Detective Pikachu and the My Little Pony Friendship is Magic movie both have disabled villains who do bad things to try and cure their disability. Both are children's movies, released in 2018 and 2017 respectively, teaching kids that disability = bad behaviour.
