Each time you "roll the dice" and "generate" a seed phase...that's a wallet. Someone could potentially just generate, check for a balance, generate, check for a balance, over n over and...like the lottery...might stumble upon someone's active wallet. That wallet isn't technically yours. It's a space you found in the cryptography, but anyone could swing on by on pure randomness.

Multisig is the only acceptable form of self custody.

In simple terms for like windows software. Sometimes people break the cd key phrase on programs. It’s called a “key generator” in other words. They use math, code lists, and guessing logic. They work offline using algorithms made by reverse-engineering the game or software protection system. to figure out the cd key phrase.

@Broasted_King Haha I thought about that today. And after doing more research I wouldn’t be able to 100% for sure saying they’re safe. The best thing would be to do a multi sig setup and you can use ledger as one of the 3 devices.

@Trezor spent many years to provide a great and secure product (they even created the seed phrases we use today) - with truly open source code, and they helped expand self-custody. Then (and I had a feeling) @COLDCARDwallet F'd up. I use Trezor.
