There is no such thing as “random”.

An Honest Node's profile picture
An Honest Node1 month ago

Then why does the word exist?

Steven Steiner's profile picture

Cause humans have a desire to label things they don’t understand with words that are pointless. Like “luck”. Not a thing either.

Why wouldn’t @Coinkite use industry standard, proven RNG?

Wrong Btc is not Bitcoin that’s why none of this stuff you’re saying is in the Bitcoin white paper. Btc is an alt coin created in 2017 and is fully centralized from the hardware to the coin itself has back doors and inside people controlling it. And right before the clarity act passes and right before the truth explodes now you see the exchanges closing aka bankrupt miners shutting down aka bankrupt and the fraud happening and stolen coins to come more and more Bitcoin is bsv @Dr_CSWright isn’t this right @CsTominaga knows exactly what’s happening and by whom and we will see it to as we learn more truth behind the alt coin btc

Each time you "roll the dice" and "generate" a seed phase...that's a wallet. Someone could potentially just generate, check for a balance, generate, check for a balance, over n over and...like the lottery...might stumble upon someone's active wallet. That wallet isn't technically yours. It's a space you found in the cryptography, but anyone could swing on by on pure randomness.

Multisig is the only acceptable form of self custody.

Has to be someone from the inside. The brute force story doesn’t add up at all

In simple terms for like windows software. Sometimes people break the cd key phrase on programs. It’s called a “key generator” in other words. They use math, code lists, and guessing logic. They work offline using algorithms made by reverse-engineering the game or software protection system. to figure out the cd key phrase.

Why not just store it in a coinbase wallet?

An Honest Node's profile picture

You could do that if you want

@Broasted_King Is this No, ledgers are safe? Or no ledgers are safe? There’s a difference…

An Honest Node's profile picture
An Honest Node1 month ago

@Broasted_King Haha I thought about that today. And after doing more research I wouldn’t be able to 100% for sure saying they’re safe. The best thing would be to do a multi sig setup and you can use ledger as one of the 3 devices.

@Trezor spent many years to provide a great and secure product (they even created the seed phrases we use today) - with truly open source code, and they helped expand self-custody. Then (and I had a feeling) @COLDCARDwallet F'd up. I use Trezor.

A 2 of 2 with a passphrase over a 2 of 3 multisig set up will work fine with me after today. It’s always better to be safe than sorry.
