@BillyGraham If GOD chooses to save you. Man likes to think it's there choice. That's mankind's rebellious nature thinking they have power over GOD by choosing when to be saved. Jesus told us in His own words in John 6:44. Rom 8:28-30, 1st Cor 1:9 Also read Romans 9:15-16. HE chooses not us.

We’re saved from wrath due to our sin. We are not saved from a life without peace and joy. That was never the Gospel call. Paul didn’t have a peaceful life full of joy and warm fuzzies. Neither do the Christians now in North Korea, China, or parts of India. Jesus said, “Count the cost. Die to self. Be prepared for persecution” when He called people to Him. The soft Gospel fills the church with backsliders.

@BillyGraham The answer that Paul gave was how to be saved not how to have peace and joy. Those are byproducts once you are saved. Not what you are saved for.
