Forget about the cost first. Why is the housing sector not regulated? I think there should be a minimum standard a house in certain locations should meet before it can be rented out. I detest the fact that property owners can build anything and put it out on the market for rent.

The landlord and the person that built the house should be arrested

POP and tiles are the biggest bait of housing in Nigeria, Lagos especially. The agents will tell you ‘the house get POP’ as if there’s anything special about it that should warrant the outrageous rents demanded. There’s no reason why this landlord should be allowed to do this.
