About our defensive block, I think Alonso has always since he came to Chelsea play the 4-4-2 The only difference is in the way the opponents attack and how we reacted to it! The arsenal build up to the Martin's goal is quite different from the one you showed for our successful Bournemouth press. From my observation the only thing that changed in our defensive game was our aggressive press! Not the shape.. We pressed aggressively unlike other games asides Brentford! It was either Henderson or Caicedo stepping up to join the press, while Neto remained in that midfield role alongside the next midfielder The press was like Joao Pedro leads, Palmer follows then Rodgers tracks his man and either of the MD pairing steps up! Earlier and in preseason we didn't seem to want to press!
