How come Tory MPs are interviewing the Tory Chancellor on GBNews? Ofcom rules are clear. MPs may not present the news or conduct political interviews. I challenged the Ofcom boss today in the Culture Select Committee- are you satisfied with the answer? @CommonsDCMS

@Ofcom @CommonsDCMS @Ofcom have totally failed to manage GBnews. GBnews was set up to break broadcasting rules, that's obvious, ofcom has done nothing about it.

And while Ofcom ponders it’s apparent inaction on this matter could they also take a view on politicians who suddenly have their own tv shows (effectively able to give an unchallenged party political broadcast every week)?

@Ofcom @CommonsDCMS The full reply is here. It doesn't get any better from Ofcom. Trying to argue it might not be a news programme just digs a deeper hole. Clearly an unambiguous breach of Ofcom rules - as KGBNews becomes the de facto mouthpiece of the Tory party.
