If the prerequisites conditions of this prophecy are true, than the more likely outcome is the end of *civilization*. The “Caesar”, “Übermensch” or whatever you may call him doesn’t appear out of the aether, and modernity pulls at every lever to eliminate superior germplasm

Peak oil hasn't born out well - oil prices should remain near current levels in the long term. If there's an economic crunch it will not be triggered by energy shortages.

Wishful thinking. There is no energy crunch coming. Solar has already become cheaper than oil.
