So, someone told you all of rural China was impoverished? Not so. This is Taihang Water Town, built in one of the MOST impoverished area of China's Hebei province. The Communist Party of China has developed thousands of such villages, each in the center of the impoverished rural areas of China. The purpose? Create economically sustainable tourist sites to both lure prosperous city dwellers to the countryside and to also eliminate extreme poverty throughout China. This strategy is just one of many such tools in the CPCs tool kit. And it works. Instead of poverty, one finds shops, charming Inns, and smiling rural residents. While there is much more work to do to meet the CPCs ambitious goal of 'common prosperty,' the end of extreme poverty in China was accomplished in 2020. I plan on visiting many such villages and sharing my videos with you here on X. #China #PovertyAlleviation

In 1992, China held the first position globally with the largest number of people living in extreme poverty. Nigeria ranked eighth during the same period. By 2026, Nigeria has advanced to the first position among countries with the highest number of individuals in extreme poverty. China, in turn, has moved from its leading position in 1992 to a position of negligible extreme poverty headcount. This dramatic shift in global rankings, with Nigeria ascending to the top while China has effectively resolved the challenge at scale, further demonstrates that Nigeria is a failing state.

Sometime back when I posted about infrastructure related to economy, people said that go off the expressway and see the poverty in villages. Actually that day also I was going to my village. I have been travelling a lot and at least in villages of Western UP, I don’t see any poverty. This video is from my village, have a look. No one in streets as they are out in fields.

Extreme poverty is a thing in China. Unfortunately the world doesn’t know and media won’t show. China doesn’t take care of its old people. China makes their people to work for it for their entire life and then it leaves them in poverty and to struggle for their ends to meet But in India some demean the govt for giving free ration, by which it has pulled millions of people out of extreme poverty. Modi govt takes care of its people unlike CCP. But fake and hateful propaganda is only against India and not China. Check these examples.

Life expectancy in 1949 was 36, by 1972 it was 61. Currently, it is 78.5. National income grew five-fold over the 25-year period 1952-1978, increasing from 60 billion to over 300 billion yuan, with industry accounting for most of the growth 80% of Chinese were illiterate in 1949, by 2015, 94.4% were literate 850 million people were lifted out of poverty in the space of just 4 decades In 1981, almost 90% of the population lived below the international poverty line. By 2015, only 1% lived below the poverty line Since 1978 on average, China pulled 19 million poor people out of extreme poverty every year China has accounted for nearly 75% of the global reduction in the number of people living in extreme poverty since 1978 China has become the largest trading partner of more than 120 countries The Belt & Road Initiative has been launched, dubbed ‘the project of the century’, with over 150 countries joining The average disposable income per urban household surged 66% from 2013 to 2020, according to official statistics. In rural households it rose 82% in that same period.

Being incompetent and useless is one thing but coming openly to give wrong economic stats is another level of devilishness. “When we came in, extreme poverty had almost 50% of Nigerians but today, when I counted, there are about 5% left in t extreme poverty. Even those 5% have whispered to me that I should take them to the National Directorate of Employment as they are prepared to learn skills” HOW???

That was a really cool experience! After about 5 hours of walking we noticed a very remote yurt, lost in the mountains, so we went to check it out. There we met two Kyrgyz boys (at first we assumed they were Khazak but we were wrong) - two brothers 14 and 12 years old - who lived there with their horses and cows. As they explain, they were a whole family living there during the summer: these 2 boys, their sister, and parents. The parents were out working when we went there. During the rest of the year, they live down in the city where they have an apartment and where the kids go to school. They kindly invited us in and we bought some of their homemade cheese and yogurt. We paid them through WeChat, which really goes to show how universal it is in China: even in the most remote places! We also spoke about life and... guess what... Mbappé, who truly is the only thing people worldwide seem to know about France these days 😅 Having traveled in some 64 countries so far, China is really one of the only countries out there where you can still find people - like them - living truly in accordance with their ancestral ways and their traditions. I've met hundreds of people like them over the years in China. Which is why the accusations against China on eradicating minority cultures are so shameful: they're literally best in class worldwide in letting people preserve their traditional ways of life.

Thanks to American TikTok refugees, I've learned a lot of new things and felt terrible about perpetuating stereotypes about the working class in the United States. What an idiot I was to assume that those who are homeless and addicted to drugs just don't put in the necessary effort. Today, I saw a video of an American lady having an emotional breakdown after learning about the ordinary Chinese people's life, crying because, as a single mother, she has been working multiple jobs and 60 hours per week, with insufficient resources to sustain herself and her children. Even more repulsive to me is capitalism, which keeps the wealthiest people in power while destroying the lives of the most honest and hardworking citizens. I have no grounds to judge or sympathize with the Americans. My country is still the largest developing nation, and many poor people are working hard to improve their lives. Just like every other country, China has its share of problems. Still, it breaks my heart to watch the plight of those good, honest, working-class Americans. Things are not supposed to be this way. A lot of people want to know my favourite thing about China. My answer is poverty alleviation. Almost 800 million people, or over 75% of the world's poor, have been pulled out of poverty in China during the previous 40 years. One of the worst things that can happen to a person is to be poor because being poor takes away their hope, dignity, and future. The fact that China is helping its poorest citizens warms my heart; here's hoping the same may happen in the United States.

Former CIA analyst Robert Suettinger reveals why the cracks in China’s Communist system go much deeper than you think: “They have [lifted millions out of poverty] as a result of the modernization of the Chinese economy, as a result of an enormous amount of foreign direct investment coming into China.” “You go anywhere in China, and you can see new buildings, new railroads, new urban development.” “What you don’t see is what Li Keqiang talked about.” “A long time ago, he said that in the Chinese population of 1.4 billion… at least 600 million people still live below the poverty line.” “We don’t see that part of China.” “That’s where the real Chinese live.” “Now, in this Chinese New Year… many of those people who worked in urban areas have gone back… to their home villages to celebrate the Chinese New Years.” “Many of them are not gonna be able to come back to the urban areas because there’s no jobs for them there.” “And the Chinese government doesn’t want you to know that either.” “So those people may have bought a one-way ticket back out to their home villages.” “I’m not trying to say it’s a myth.” “I’m not trying to say those people have not risen, but the numbers are not as impressive as you might want to think.”

There I experienced first-hand the hardships in farming and saw how the local people struggled to make ends meet. Their longing for a better life has stayed in my mind ever since.
