![The smartest thing Matthew Prince 🌥 did before Cloudflare's IPO was offer shares to people who could help the company in the future. "The most clever thing that we did [for the IPO], and this was advice that I got from Qualtrics Co-Founder Ryan Smith, was he said, 'What are you doing about friends and family?' because you can take 5% of the IPO and allocate it to friends and family. I said we weren't going to do it." "He said, 'No, you're thinking about it wrong. Think about the people, who if they owed you a favor, could make a meaningful difference in the future of Cloudflare, and then offer them the ability to invest in the IPO.'" "I said, 'Some people are going to have conflicts.' He said, 'It doesn't matter. Even just the fact you offered it, even if they can't do it, they'll always remember that super fondly.'"](https://image.24vids.com/tw-2064830784981332037/amplify_video_thumb/2064830720284188672/img/p_ZNgX56_EFKAq1X.jpg)
![Gena Rowlands explains the reason why "A Woman Under the Influence" (1974, Cassavetes), which was first written as a play, was made into a movie: "Rowlands: John wrote it as a play. He said, “Hey, I wrote you a play.” And I said, “Great, let’s read it.” I read it and I said, “John, I couldn’t do this every night and twice on Wednesday and Saturday. I wouldn’t be able to last two weeks. I’d die.” It was a very hard play to do every night. And he said, “Don’t worry. Don’t even think about it, you’re right. I hadn’t thought of that.” He said, “Just forget it.” Then in about two weeks he said, “Okay. I solved the problem. I wrote a different play for you.” He said, “So you won’t have to carry all of it every night. I used the same characters but I enlarged different parts of the scenes.” He changed it generally to make it humanly possible. And I said, “Oh, that’s a miracle, let me see it.” And I read it and I said, “Listen, you must know a lot of strong actresses!” [laughs] I said, “I still wouldn’t be able to do it. This is really hard.” She has a nervous breakdown—there’s a lot of things that are hard emotionally to do. So he said, “Okay. I’m going to write it as a picture.” I said, “I think I can get through it once.” [laughs] “But I’m not making any guarantees.” He thought that was funny and then he wrote it thinking like an actor too instead of just a writer. I think he took that into consideration. And it is, of course, much easier to do a film when you’re doing an extremely emotional part than it is doing it onstage over and over especially. Interviewer: Do you consider that to be your most challenging role? Mabel? Rowlands: Well, yes, it was my favorite. I loved doing that. And it was challenging. Interviewer: Since John gave you so much freedom to do what you liked as a character, how would you go about finding them? Was it something that was instinctual for you, from the script? Rowlands: I read the script, you know, 50 times. And I thought about it. And then I did it. [laughs]" (Gena Rowlands' interview with Colleen Kelsey, Interview Magazine, 2016) P.S: Remembering the great American Actress Gena Rowlands on her 96th birthday!](https://image.24vids.com/tw-2068030142564430066/amplify_video_thumb/2068030021672046592/img/vO_wGHofNc_hUgaq.jpg)
![gunwook about the taegunv ballad 😭 🧸 its true that i decided it on my own but i got sufficient consent. to that person… no calling him “that person” feels a bit odd 🧸 to taerae hyung! i was like “no hyung, is september possible?” [he said] “yeah yeah do it. if we do it, we do it” so i said “oh okay” then since i wrote the song anyway i just need to prepare until september since taerae hyung said he'd do it 🧸 oh then since i have confidence and can do it by september… was it at the mca mc seat or somewhere, where i said “we’re going to do it in september” thats how i said it 🧸 and even worse, i wrote the rough draft for the song and sent it to him on kakaotalk. i sent it via kakaotalk... but he kept saying i didnt send it 🧸 of course it was a total first-pass guide version but... i sent it while saying “anyway it has this kind of vibe” i sent it to him but when i sent it, taerae hyung was playing a game. he didnt listen to it from what i could see! or did he? he might’ve listened to it 🧸 but he might have wanted to receive a more polished version. so taerae hyung asked me “how are you going to arrange the harmonies and stuff?” and i said “i’ll arrange that and send it to you”](https://image.24vids.com/tw-2093659932923134341/amplify_video_thumb/2093659798294384640/img/CKvrRXkOXF24QqIi.jpg)
