The guy on the left is taller. He stretches for the last 3 bats whereas the smaller guy has to run for each of them (which he does first).

Guy on the left started using both hands. Saved 2 steps each time he did.

You tire out after doing it for a bit so you do the hardest first, cruise at the end.
