How different generations talk about their childhoods

@LittleLostLad Gen X here, it wasn't so much hard knocks, it's that no-one gave a toss about us. We ate shite, we played in concrete parks, the local paedo came to school and told ghost stories, everyone smoked and was drunk and wearing a seatbelt was considered a sign of homosexuality.
