Exactly. As long as they are in "public" places and known to people occupying them, that should not infringe on privacy. Here in the U.S., that "privacy" buzzword is being abused so much by both the industry and paranoid people.

Do you know hundreds thousands children go missing every year in China? So-called surveillance system in China is for intimating civilians, not for real criminals, to make sure nobody against China regime. You cannot even find a dog by that god dammed surveillance cameras
