I grew up on the only lake in Wayne County MI (of Detroit). We used to play football on the ice in the 1970s, sometimes using a Nerf football, not as frozen, and a little smaller to catch. I almost got my fingers cut off by someone else's ice skate blade. But later I broke wrist.
