Imo, you’re going too far back with the rod. Best advice my dad always gave me when he taught my how to fly fish was stop the road at 10 o clock and bring forward to 2 o clock. You want the rod at a high enough angle that the line goes straight enough behind you to shoot forward.

Looks pretty decent for someone who hasn’t fly fished much. Try not to pull your arm back and only bring it so it’s at a 90 degree angle. It’s fine if the rod itself goes slightly further. Once you have that, start practicing with some more line and pulling it as you go up.

More wrist action?

Strip some line out, let's see a long cast, you can do it just by elbow to hand, without upper arm motion. Don't snap your wrist when you do, the rod becomes an extension of the arm. (I could it from my wheelchair.)

A fly rod is a delicate instrument. Not a tool like a hammer. My son Jack (11) says to slow down and relax. Keep your lower body quiet, and stay between 10 and 2. Tight lines and cheers from Idaho.

10 o’clock to 2 o’clock. Wait longer on your back cast let the loop open up completely. Abrupt stop on forward and back cast. The action you’re trying to reproduce is similar to flicking wet paint off a paintbrush! Keep practicing preferably on water the surface tension loads rod
