Cortical blindness, caused by brain damage rather than eye dysfunction, can lead to varying experiences, including flashes of light or blurred movement. Having stated these blindness is a spectrum. Some see pitch black, others perceive light or distorted visuals. The assumption that all blind people see only darkness is a misconception.
