How do you buss down your sugarcane?

Yes! 😅 my nan taught us to take the bark off with our teeth too lol. Ahh memories man 🥰. The excitement of my nan coming back from Jamaica knowing that she’d bring us back T-shirts, bead bracelets, sugarcane, peanut brittle and coconut ice bars ❤️

Ooh peanut brittle! With molasses. Memories unlocked. Might have to make some this week.

My mother would have tapped me upside the head if I used a knife to peel cane.

Mine too cause for sure I was cutting fingers off using a knife lol

LMFAO he couldn't believe what he was seeing

Me neither lol. Who skins sugarcane? Lol

😂😂 See it deh. A suh yuh buss down cane, man.

We use to have a sugar cane field next to our primary school growing up on the island 😭

You used to pull them?

Yeah the whole school was high from sugar rush.

I grew up with this in my backyard and front yard. 🫶🏾

In my Nana backyard. But I wasnt allowed to go in the field lol

I did everything he did expect the cutting it down part ! My Mum Mum already had it ready you just had to take off the bark yourself. I use to keep the base of the bark on so my hands wouldn’t get sticky . Oooh how I miss them , going food shopping this week def going on the list

Korrek is right.

Brings back memories. Out in the bush and doing this with a young coconut as well. yeah peeling cane with your teeth was normal. In fact, because you live in a tropical rainforest, growing your own patch of cane was done as early as 7/8 yrs.

I swear only in America they cut sugar cane like this when I’m in Jamaica we use our teeth

I need this
