Divine intervention. My friend's little boy had a similar experience. He was about four; they were riding her bike slowly in downtown Seattle when they were struck by a car. The little boy was wearing a helmet, but naturally she was panicked. She grabbed him up & ran to the nearest hospital (Harborview) which was about a block away. While she was carrying him, he looked up at her and said, "Mommy, did you know Jesus is a bicycle man?" When she asked him later what he meant, he told her that as he fell from the bike, a man appeared and put his hands under the boy's head, cradled his body, to keep him from being injured. (And the boy was not.) The boy said he had a beard, sandals, and a robe, just like the pictures he'd seen of Jesus in his children's Bible book.

Christ is King.
