It's worth asking if she left them alone so that she could go to work and afford a roof over their heads.

If you’re poor and have to feed your children and can’t afford daycare then if they were 10 and up you would. I know growing up that’s how it was for us.

She is from Liberia and she went to work at a salon. Both of her children young had severe motor and developmental disabilities. Started by too many chargers plugged into one place. How does one mother have 2 severely disabled children? Well the Bill Gates foundation has been v@ccinating people in Liberia for a while now, it’s one of their biggest programs.

Childcare should be free in this country. The Gold Age!

How old were the kids? My brother and I were left alone all the time from the age of 10+, we would shoot guns, play outside, play in the woods, etc. Grew up just fine, the most we did was break a few barn windows.

The comments defending her are wild. "what if she needs to work and had no babysitter" if you can't take care of kids properly CLOSE YOUR LEGS! There are state programs that will help watch your kids at a very low rate while you work, you could offer a minimal amount of money to a neighbor to watch them, you could find work that has a daycare center for employees. There are multiple options she was careless and lazy and this was the result. THIS WAS AVOIDABLE! She's just a terrible"mother".

When I was a kid we were left home alone all the time.

Possibly because the cost of living is so fucking high that everyone needs to work 10hrs a day leaving the kids to fend for themselves at home. Just like every other kid from the 80s-90s guess what? We survived. Extremely unfortunate but the whole system is fucked.

In Europe, leaving a 10–11-year-old home alone for several hours is no big deal. In many countries, it’s completely legal and normal from the age of 8. Sure, lots of parents prefer after-school care. No one’s calling child services just because a kid can make their own sandwich.

A new neighbor moved in a month ago upstairs with her two daughters under 14. She left them alone in for 3 weeks with no food or furniture and went to Ontario!!! Those kids had nothing - no food furniture - and would buy snacks at the gas station to eat. Illegal immigrants from Canada.

Where’s the dad??? 😡 this poor women was trying to work 9 hours a day and be a full time mum to neurodivergent kids!!

Was she arrested? I’d like to see that. 9 hours? Way too long no matter.

It obivously all depends on the age of the children... if they are like a 10 & 14 year old, then they should be fine for a day.

You and I consume the same content. I just watched this yesterday on YouTube. What makes this even worse is that they were both mentally delayed and didn’t have the motor function to escape the living room where the fire started.
