Not to be argumentative, but I don't think they get those courtside seats for free. I think they get first dibs on those kind of tickets but they pay a lot for them. But when you're making $10-$20 million a picture, or a record, or whatever, that's just a drop in the bucket the price of those tickets for them.

I could care less because I’m fine watching it from my own home.

I worked for a company that spent big ad dollars during Suns games, and we got floor seats from time to time. If you are there for the game, floor seats suck... unless you like watching players' legs. The vantage point from the floor is awful. I always preferred a few rows up.

If fans willingly pay price for tickets they are not being overcharged. That is how market economy works. If pizza on menu is $20 and your bill says $30, that is being overcharged. Thanks for coming to my Ted Talk

Im pretty sure they’re not sitting there for free those seats are at minimum probably $15k the average person doesn’t have $15k in their account let alone that much to spend on a court side ticket for the finals

Free... in return, they are obligated to sign autographs, take photos, and make promotional pitch videos and cameos without payment. Nothing in this world is free, but jealousy sure is a commodity and you are RICH with it.

It’s brilliant advertising for the NBA, and let’s not forget, the NBA is a business, not a charity. They can charge whatever they want. This isn’t socialism, and nobody is owed cheap tickets or courtside access. Celebrities being at games is part of what creates the hype and keeps the NBA culturally relevant. If people don’t like the pricing or the scene, they can choose not to pay for it. What a classic left wing comment by USA News.
