These meme does the rounds every so often and it's not true. Cats distinguish more than "two things" and they don't see humans as cats.

My cat sees me as a substitute parent, friend, and protector. And it's true that adult feral cats do not normally mew. Domesticated cats enjoy that they can be kittens indefinitely.
