How dysfunctional and corrupt are our municipalities? Whenever a CM or PM visits our city the "shortage of funds" suddenly disappears. Roads get fixed, garbage is cleared, and footpaths are built.

Something is wrong with our system. Why is it that only when the CM or PM visits an area do neglected issues like bad roads and poor cleanliness get fixed? Your local MP, MLA, mayor, and babu only seem to fear the CM and the PM.

Karthik Sahni and Bittu Tabahi prove that our rivers and water bodies are absolutely cleanable, even individual efforts can make a massive difference. Only two possibilities exists, either the kids are lying, or the municipalities are corrupt. So what exactly have municipalities been doing with crores in funds all these years? Going by these examples, we could have clean water bodies within a year. Is corruption and apathy so deeply entrenched ki literally zero kaam ho raha hai? #amitkilhor #kilhor #bittutabahi #kartiksahni

Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde and his convoy get a good taste of pathetic roads. Many roads are newly built and have tolls. Shows you the disdain that the BJP-SS govt have towards the middle-class. Unfortunately the alternatives are equally bad.

This is how poor villages are in Germany. Proper roads and marked lanes. Dustbins at every 100 meters. Not a single piece of trash on the road or nearby. The Biggest shock is to see such high level of footpaths in the village.

Every obstructing pole moved is a safer footpath reclaimed. As part of our Safer Footpaths drive and #JustCleanBengaluru, electrical poles are being moved out of the way - making our footpaths safer, wider and more accessible for everyone. We thank BESCOM for joining us in this effort.

Our democracy is incredibly precious. Yet in parts of our capital city, election fraud, corrupt practices, and explicit appeals to particular religious and ethnic groups are becoming the new normal. We can stop this - and we must.

Meta data center construction is literally tearing our county roads apart! Neither Meta or the city of Lebanon, Indiana are keeping heavy trucks on the construction route! (And taxpayers will end up footing the bill).

Tomorrow, PM MODI is coming to Nikol, Ahmedabad. AMC built brand-new roads in the middle of heavy rains! 🌧️🚧 All thanks to PM Modi's arrival. While citizens struggle with potholes year-round, suddenly roads are getting the red-carpet treatment.

We must start valuing our public spaces, else we must stop complaining about Bangalore's quality of life. One of the very few serene roads left in Bangalore with big trees dotting the entire stretch and visible footpaths - Sampige Road. But look at the chaos with vendors and shopkeepers encroaching the footpaths and littering the entire area with garbage. How long will we romanticize poverty and let the city to ruins?! Everyone including builders should be penalized and bulldozed for footpath encroachment. Period. Krishna Byre Gowda

🛣️ Assam’s roads are doing more than improving connectivity, they are powering a new era of growth. The Golaghat-Merapani road built under Asom Mala is a clear example of how better roads are bringing regions closer and opportunities within reach.
