How far is too far? 🛣

If you can’t see it off the highway/top of the ramp (big ol signs are fine), it shouldn’t say “next exit” with no mileage.

It needs to be within visible distance of the off-ramp. If you have to actually search for the place or pull up Google Maps just to find it, it's too far out of the way. I've seen some that were 6+ miles out. That should be legally classified as a detour at that point

@hockeenight LESS than a mile ! You should be able to see the restaurant from the highway

Only if it’s Culver’s.

Whats worse is of you get a “gurgle” in your stomach for another reason and find out its 2 plus miles diwn the road!

Had to get gas one time, was in the middle of nowhere and pulled of the exit. Got up to where it shows you how far away the closest fast station is and it was 3.7 miles away…. Just criminal

If you can't see the sign from before you get on the ramp, know it's gonna be too far, and I'm gonna be annoyed. It's even worse when you get off and then decide you're gonna just get back on the highway, but it's a divided road and you have to go like 2 miles to turn around.

1.1 is still too far for me. When road tripping ALL stops must be managed with the speed and efficiency of a NASCAR Pit crew. Start the gas(chock the handle) Order food Go to the bathroom Pickup food on the Way back to the car Lock the gas cap Lay rubber out of the lot

It should be visible as you get off the exit. You're being overly generous with 1.1 miles!
