But some cyclists think that slowing down or stopping is not ideal because it requires more energy, therefore don't want to stop or slow down. Obviously that's not a problem with your power assisted bicycle.

It’s worth also mentioning that for pedestrians, accessing the bus stop is far easier and safer on that side, than it is when coming from the other side. For example on the return leg they will need to cross several lanes of traffic ( or use similar crossings anyway )
