Today's Tour de France™ stage will be the first stage to test the extension of the 3km rule to 5km. The 3km rule is a zone where GC riders aim to be "Safe" in case a crash happens they don't lose time. By extending this to 5km "should" make less stress in the final. Thus giving the sprinter teams more space and have a slightly less condensed bunch coming in. Also, with today's rule of 3 seconds enables riders to have about a 50m gap between riders to still get the same bunch time. This will leave greater spacing and "should" make it more safe in these hectic finals. Normally the sprinting teams use these GC teams and sit behind them to save energy till the 3km line and then move themselves to the front. Sometimes they loose each other because it's hectic and a short 3km time to find each other. Today in theory they have more time(5km) to find each other and what will make it interesting is, the sprinting teams might have to go from 5km out, instead of 3km out like before. This will be much harder and we hope for a slightly reduced speed as they have to conserve their energy. This was a main request from the riders to improve safety within the SafeR Program. For the riders I really hope this helps, and it will be interesting to see. @mcewenrobbie explains it perfect during the Giro d'Italia in this video:

Shocking! The DA-run City of Cape Town has just joined forces with the EFF and ANC to throw Cape Independence Party leader, Jack Miller out of Council. Councillor Miller was busy giving a speech about an issue in Cape Town in which low cost housing was being built. He told the Council how he had received a number of complaints from the local community about how economic migrants were coming in from the Eastern Cape and being given these houses over and above local Cape Town residents. For sharing this truth, the EFF and ANC began shouting and demanded that Cllr Miller be removed from the Chambers as they toytoyed and banged on the tables. The DA Speaker Felicity Purchase then demanded that Cllr Miller apologise for using the word "migrants", or else he would be thrown out. Miller said it would be impossible for him to apologise for using a word that was accurate, and clearly defined in the English Dictionary. This is Mansoureh Heydari and her husband Behrouz Mansouri, an ordinary Iranian nurse and technical instructor from Bushehr who lived quiet lives raising their two small children aged seven and ten. After finishing their shifts on the evening of January 8, 2026, they left their kids with relatives and joined protests against the Islamic regime. They marched with thousands of other fed-up citizens through their city in a peaceful protest, until the regime responded the only way it knew how. Without warning or mercy, its security forces opened fire from inside a mosque, shooting Behrouz in the head. As Mansoureh desperately tried to drag him to safety, she too was gunned down. Their children were orphaned and left alone in a country ruled by the enemies of humanity. Mansoureh and Behrouz are just two of the 40,000+ murdered by these monsters in January 2026. ‘Behave yourselves and have your booster like good children, then we won’t have to lock you in your homes again’ That was their diktat. There was no disguising that this was coercion to have a drug. They knew people would choose their freedom over all else, having been trapped in their homes for so long. I left the Tory party because I was horrified by this, and other harmful authoritarian policies in 2020/21. I could see then, how Uniparty authoritarianism could be the start of a dangerous creep. That fear has been realised, with the chains of digital ID looming large. Yesterday’s new defector was as shocking as it was disappointing. When I joined the Reform Party, Richard Tice was being refreshingly vocal about the emotional, physical and economic harms of lockdowns. Has Reform forgotten? I know Reform members haven’t. I desperately want to make sense of this news, and the mixed messages from the party I’ve been actively supporting in their bid to save this country. We are in so much trouble, and we simply haven’t got time for mistakes. I’d welcome thoughts from other Reformers.

I just rode in a Zoox robotaxi, which is owned by Amazon. It was a 7.6-mile, 25-minute loop along the Las Vegas Strip and back. Some background: Zoox uses cameras, lidars, radar, and long-wave infrared sensors. Their test vehicles build 3D maps of the city. The vehicle has four-wheel steering and has no front or back, so it can go in any direction. Overall, it was a pretty good experience. I’d like to see seat comfort improve as they were too firm and ergonomics weren't great, although I know this is just a test vehicle. There was an interesting interaction with a semi truck on the side of the road, but the rest of the ride went well. Both the adaptive suspension and quietness level in the robotaxi were good. Kenny Omega has consistently been by Will Ospreay’s side all year. Say what you want about how The Death Riders storyline has been handled, but to me, Ospreay and Omega have been beautifully written since the beginning. Ospreay felt like Omega abandoned him, and despite Omega’s constant reassurance, Ospreay while blinded by vengeance decided to be taken under Moxley’s wing. Despite that, Omega continued to try and show support. When Ospreay won the Owen under the mentorship of Jon Moxley, he quickly let that cloud his judgement and disrespected Kenny. Despite that, Omega continued to try and show support. At Redemption, when Will refused to pull the trigger on Nick Jackson, Moxley saw it as him getting in his own way and decided that it would be best to make the decision for him. Jon gave Ospreay the plastic bag, and Ospreay stood there. He contemplated, he reflected on his morals, he decided that he was better than that. Unfortunately, it was too late. The fact that Ospreay even had to make a decision, the fact that apart of him even considered bagging Omega was the final straw. Ospreay had continuously ignored Omega’s advice, his friendship, while disrespecting him in the process, that was it. Many people’s problem with the Death Riders Ospreay storyline was that it presented Ospreay as weak. I personally disagreed with that for a majority of the storyline, but in recent weeks, the way that they executed certain things made me feel the same way. Will Ospreay is supposed to be THE guy heading into Wembley, and for the last few weeks he’s felt like the opposite, at least to me. Tonight, Ospreay cut the most firey, adrenaline pumping promo that many people have been craving this entire time. “If you touch me again, I’m going to kick the shit out of you.” Is one of the first times recently that Ospreay felt like a legit top guy. His entire cadence towards the back half of the promo was fueled by the energy that I had been wanting from the beginning. Kenny Omega has been superb, ALL. YEAR. From his program with MJF, to the *excellent* program to Knight, to the climax and peak of it all tonight. From an in-ring standpoint, to a star power standpoint, to a storytelling standpoint, Omega has put on a fucking masterclass. I know “long-term storytelling” has become a meme in the community, but damn if this isn’t a perfect display. This segment was incredible. It fixed a lot of the issues that I as well as others had with the build, and positioned both men in a way that feels appropriate. You can make many critiques about the Death Riders storyline, and I’d probably agree with most of them. Does it feel a bit unnecessary? Yeah. But did it perfectly set the stage for them to kick off this rivalry? Hell fucking yeah. Beautiful.

Following back-to-back unbeaten, state-championship winning seasons, the Glens Falls boys basketball team kicked off their 2025-‘26 campaign the same way they closed out ‘24-‘25…with a win. But this was no ordinary, season-opening victory. Glens Falls broke a Section 2 Athletics record with their 55TH(‼️) straight win last night, taking down Mechanicville, 87-33, and surpassing Lake George (2017-‘19) as the previous record holders. 55 straight…it’s a run that started over 1,000 days ago, and has been a show of complete dominance along the way. Of those 55 games, only 5 have been decided by fewer than 10 points. And based on what we saw from the Black Bears last night, who knows how long they can keep this going for? 🐿️ beomgyu hyung probably had the toughest time back then because he had to do everything the debut line had to do as soon as he joined 🐰 it was a very very exhausting schedule and the incredible thing about beomgyu is…the fact that he pulled off that schedule is incredible and this is probably something common amongst all idols, i’ve heard people say this a lot but the person that suddenly joins the debut line up become the subject to a lot of intense glares because all the people you love have to leave and you’ve made it so far amongst yourselves but a new person suddenly joins 🐰 since beomgyu became a part of the debut line up as soon as joined…of course within txt too…but the rest of the trainees had a negative gaze when it came to him 🐿️ that’s right, because they didn’t make it to the debut line up 🐰 there’s actually a trainee who even went to counseling because they hated beomgyu so much..you know who, right? 🐿️ but they did debut! 🐰 everyone debuted and that person is actually the closest to beomgyu right now 🐿️ that’s right 🐰 beomgyu received a lot of negative looks at first and when i first joined as a trainee, i had also received a lot of negative judgement from people i took care of him a lot because it felt like my past 🐰 his personality was very cheerful and he could get along with anyone so he adjusted to it quickly and he got rid of that negative image by getting along with everyone 🐿️ beomgyu hyung used to get along well with everyone 🐰 i think he was able to make his way to everyone’s hearts because he was a good kid 🐰 if he suddenly got into the debut line up and didn’t have a good personality, it would’ve been really hard 🐿️ it wouldn’t have been easy 🧸💬 the me from back then had zero idea that this was going on. because i was too busy trying to survive.

So I’ve been tagged in a few things about favorite drought moments and this phone call I’m gracious that people look back at this and point to it as a “favorite drought moment” I genuinely don’t like talking about myself or this call, but I will say this: I’m really happy the whole #WeAreAllDuane thing happened. It was a fun ride while it lasted and reborn from that was our podcast 2 Goalies 1 Mic with Johnny Cullen and y - Conor Hurley I’ve learned many valuable lessons over the last 6 years. Both good and bad. But wouldn’t trade the end result for anything. We’ve have opportunities to meet some of our favorite players, both former and current, develop long lasting friendships with them, as well as getting to meet and befriend some of the most incredible Sabres and hockey fans along the way. This city, and its people are truly one of a kind. Not to mention the countless, writers, analysts, and hockey personalities who’ve been so gracious with their time, advice, and now friendship If they clinch tonight it’ll be bitter sweet, but most of all feel even better given what happened Wednesday January 29th, 2020 on WGR. I still listen and wish nothing but the best for those guys. After going through a 17 year playoff drought, and now a 14 year one, I respect the hell out of what those guys do. It can’t be easy to talk everyday about a team that sometimes doesn’t give you much positive to talk about for as long as they have Whether you like or hate me.
