How great was Archie Bunker 😂😂

I miss that show and the fact that people had thicker skin then. I grew up when it was prime time TV. I love jokes like that.

Archie Bunker was one of the great ones. The Jeffersons was another great show. America had a sense of humor when I grew up. Blazing Saddles could never be made today. They made fun of everybody.

Actually I was just watching that the other day and I couldn't stop laughing and I thought to myself oh my God if Archie Bunker was here today everybody would be in an uproar the way he spoke but I love it

I was in high school when this show came out. It was a time of great turbulence in America. This show, and the Archie character, really enabled us (at least in my small part of Southern California) to realize that the stereotypes foisted upon us by Hollywood (yes it was going on then) and other generational influences could be made fun of. To this day I am proud to be called a honky, cracker, gringo, whatever. The sad part, is so many of my friends from back then are now offended. But there is a common thread amongst them. White liberals who made a ton of money.

The left used to be able to laugh at their enemies, parody them. Now they get so triggered just thinking about them, they seek therapy and make angry tik-tok videos.

I was 11 or 12 when that show came out. My entire family loved it and we watched it every week. I can still remember watching that episode when it came out.

Legend. Back then, there were fewer channels but more laughs. Today, the pilot for ‘All in the Family’ would never see the light of day. Humor was best when we could laugh at ourselves & others. Sad that people today are so fvken sensitive. Laughter is the best medicine.
