How have I never noticed that macOS' menu bar "shares" space between menu items for the hover state? I don't think I've ever seen this before. Normally I'd expect each item to have its own reserved space for the hover state.

macOS hidden menu bar users might like this lil app. i love keep menu bar hidden for a distraction-free workspace. but having to move the cursor up just for time checking got annoying… now, you can glance at the time anytime — even with menu bar hidden. link ↓
