The same way I went to my cousin's house in the beach for vacation and came back with a fly worm living in the upper back of my skull. Fuck knows when that happened, I was probably asleep when the fly deposited its egg there, took days to grow, and I didn't feel anything until one day it started itching so I told my mom I felt something weird like an insect bite under my hair and yeah, there was an actual insect there growing. Shit like this does happen and has nothing to do with bad parenting or lack of hygiene, especially if the baby can't talk to let the parents know, this could go unnoticed for a few days, at least long enough for an egg to hatch and worms to appear 🤷🏻‍♀️

@Toobusy41913321 It depends upon location and possibly immigration could play a role. The bot flies ARE moving northward. But if they moved from an area that has them, could be that as well. My husband had to deal with them extensively in the Bolivian Amazon rainforest in the early ‘90’s.
