How I accidentally became the world’s most generic Vtuber?! *.0°•~*

i liked the name chevy.. the music artist, NOT the car!! but i didnt want it to be the exact same, so i thought of words with C like cherry and cherubs... combined them that's how cheby became a thing! even tho im not an angel vtuber... ;; and the yumi part i thought was cute✨

I used to use clouds or Cloud9 as a username growing but realized it's used a lot so I combined my dogs name, ajin, and cloud = AJould

I came up with mine by messing with the latin name for single horn which is used commonly with narwhals. Monoceros is the term I messed with. I like it a lot :)

What even is the proper naming convention for Vtubers? Is it just a random thing you’re into or just vibe with that determines what you name yourself and it’s a free for all or are there actual rules?

Moriko Mae is based partly on my design and me IRL! Mori = forest in japanese Ko = child in japanese so moriko can be translated as child of the forest ~ My catchphrase is "I am the guardian of the forest, and your dragon deity!" 🐉💚 And Mae is my IRL middle name 🥹

Picked Nora from the Japanese nora neko, which is literally stray cat. And Mayoi meaning "lost". Maybe a bit too in the nose haha

Yuuki is like my second name so it was what felt right.... though it's not really catchy or memorable... I did think about changing it to YuukiTanuki at one point but Yvvki is what I'm known for and I don't want to loose the name if I did change it. Wish twitch allowed nicknames

My previous names i used a random name generator, but my current name is just my chosen name and furea, which is Japanese for flare. It fit my old design and lore but not really anymore. I feel like if i change it now people would forget who I am. I might change it anyway but idk

Rei is the nickname people call me and its kinda close to raven and i added khelha so it doesnt soun too generic lol plus khelha is inspired by the names in my favourite manwha tower of gods !!

For myself “Astra” came from my old username “astra1yx” as per what my friends call me. Vinca is actually where the story is. Vinca is the Latin term for the flower “periwinkle” and well my favorite color is periwinkle so I tried to make the two fit. That’s how I stumbled upon the name “AstraVinca” and somehow it wasn’t taken on any platform so I rolled with it 💗💗

Tavorthell (tah-vor-thell) Scrolling thru a Tolkien online dictionary & was looking for something that used a part of my irl name and landed on things with wood. I ended up picking 2-words that translate to woodpecker sister. Funny as I'm a fennec fox vtuber.

I was afraid mines would be generic so I actively choose the least or boring name, Nova seems not too popular, and very few if any is Lapis.

My characters name is NonA It was a placeholder name at first meaning “No Name”. But when I gave her a mini backstory of being an assassin I figured that NonA would be her alias and not her real name. Ended up sticking with it!
