It also works really well with the Japanese ink that comes in bars, its also waterproof and you don't get the shine of graphite

Yes, I’ve tried those and they’re very nice. I also like the ArtGraf carbon discs; they’re very dark almost like charcoal and also no shine.

Oh nice too with the grey ink! I usually water down black ink but I could see that tone looks a lot nicer. Going to have to give that a try!

Yeah, I’ve also done it with black ink and it’s not terrible but I think gray does a better job. Depends on the gray though!

I feel too dependant on Copic markers and sketching on the go with them feels inappropriate (and can lead with them drying accidently) Maybe i could try this🤔

Try it! Plus this ink is pigmented so it won’t fade over time with UV exposure like Copics. And it doesn’t bleed through the page!
